Njord Partners has named Kirsty Acton as head of capital formation and fundraising partner, effective 26 October, the mid-market investment manager said. Alternative Credit Investor first reported the appointment.

Acton joins from EQT, where she was a director in client relations and capital raising, helping lead the Swedish private equity firm’s EMEA private wealth business. She previously ran her own placement business, raising capital across private equity, real estate, infrastructure and debt strategies, and began her career in sales at a UK-based hedge fund.

Njord, founded in 2013, provides flexible equity and credit to European middle-market companies and manages capital in excess of €1bn (£0.83bn). “She combines an extensive institutional network with deep investor relations expertise and a strong track record of building enduring partnerships,” said Arvid Trolle, co-founder and co-portfolio manager, who added that her experience would be valuable as the firm broadens its investor base.
