Symetra closes second CLO at $459m, upsizing from $400m

The manager says the deal carries a two-year non-call period and a five-year reinvestment period.

Symetra Investment Management closed its second collateralised loan obligation at $459m, upsized from an initial $400m, the firm said. Alternative Credit Investor first reported the closing of Symetra CLO 2026-1.

Symetra CLO 2026-1 carries a two-year non-call period and a five-year reinvestment period and is backed by a portfolio of primarily senior secured loans, according to the manager. Symetra is a registered investment adviser with $94bn in assets under management, the report says.

The upsize equals $59m. Alternative Credit Investor noted Symetra's new-issue print in August, alongside Crescent's doubled equity fund.
