Blackstone's credit and insurance business raised $18bn for infrastructure and asset-based credit strategies in the third quarter, and $16.5bn of that came from insurance separately managed accounts.

Across all credit and insurance strategies, the platform took in $35.8bn in the quarter and ended with $480bn of assets. Insurance separately managed accounts supplied about 92% of the $18bn infrastructure and asset-based credit raise, which was just over half of the platform's quarterly credit and insurance inflows.

The remaining $1.5bn of the $18bn came from sources other than insurance separately managed accounts. Blackstone did not break out the other $17.8bn of quarterly inflows by strategy, nor the number or size of the insurance accounts behind the $16.5bn.

The $35.8bn of third-quarter inflows equals roughly 7.5% of the closing $480bn.
