  • NorthWall Capital has appointed Attila Takacs as co-portfolio manager of its CLO platform.

  • Takacs was previously an associate CLO portfolio manager at Sound Point Capital, where he worked across nine European CLOs with €3.8bn of assets under management.

NorthWall Capital has appointed Attila Takacs as co-portfolio manager of its CLO platform. He shares portfolio management duties with Andrew Lawson, head of capital markets and CLO business, whose hire from Permira was announced in May. Alternative Credit Investor reported the appointment on 12 October.

Takacs was previously an associate CLO portfolio manager at Sound Point Capital, where he worked across nine European CLOs with €3.8bn of assets under management. He oversaw four CLO pricings there: three new issues and one reset.

Lawson said he first met Takacs during Takacs's time at Sound Point and that since joining, Takacs has been instrumental in building the platform — analysing credits, helping build out the firm's credit selection and monitoring framework, setting up portfolio construction and compliance testing, and building the pipeline with arranging banks and sponsors. "We are now ramping the portfolio together as we work towards our first issuance, and I'm excited to partner with him," Lawson said.

Founder and chief investment officer Fabian Chrobog said the CLO platform is "an important part of NorthWall's future" and adds public market insight alongside the firm's European private credit business. London-based NorthWall, which specialises in private capital solutions for western European counterparties, manages €3.1bn of assets.
