Amundi raised nearly €200m (£167.7m) in the first close of Amundi Senior Private Debt V, its fifth senior direct lending vintage, Alternative Credit Investor reported on 21 October. The first close is distinct from the €620m Amundi agreed in September to pay for a 9.9% stake in ICG and a ten-year distribution exclusive.
The fund makes senior secured loans to companies with EBITDA of €15m to €50m. It targets institutional investors in France and focuses on healthcare, technology and B2B services, as well as the energy and digital transitions and companies supporting European sovereignty and competitiveness.
The fund is classified Article 8 under SFDR and incorporates the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. It invests through sustainability-linked loans tied to performance indicators covering environmental and social pillars.
Julien Paycha, head of corporate private debt and direct lending at Amundi, said the fifth vintage reflects "the strength of a franchise that has proven through market cycles its ability to build diversified and resilient portfolios," and that the capital raised "has already begun to be deployed in line with our investment discipline."
