Tikehau deploys €943m of credit in busiest 2026 quarter

Add-on loans to existing borrowers were about 45% of direct-lending deployment in the first nine months, the quarterly update says.

At a glance

15-second brief
  • Add-on loans to existing borrowers accounted for about 45% of Tikehau's direct-lending deployment in the first nine months of 2026.

  • For allocators underwriting these vehicles, the 45% add-on share means vintage-level diversification and credit performance are likely tied more closely to follow-on financings and amendments than to new-platform underwriting.

Tikehau Capital deployed €943 million of credit in the July–September quarter. It was the busiest three months of 2026 for the Paris-listed asset manager, according to its quarterly update.

Add-on loans to existing borrowers accounted for about 45% of Tikehau's direct-lending deployment in the first nine months of 2026. That means nearly half of that capital went to companies the manager already knew.

For allocators underwriting these vehicles, the 45% add-on share means vintage-level diversification and credit performance are likely tied more closely to follow-on financings and amendments than to new-platform underwriting.
